Why is it so hard to find out exactly what qualifies under the 'other' category on non-discretionary expenses? When I asked the estate administrator looking after my file what qualifies, part of her response was 'what you can claim on your income tax that you are not reimbursed for by insurance, etc'. So I asked about sports registration fees for my children and she didn't know the answer and that she would have 'ask the superintendent'. I believe it is $500 per child that one can claim on their income tax. Does anyone know if I can claim that as a non-discretionary expense on my monthly expense sheet?
