Would someone please enlighten me as to what is supposed to happen as you approach your automatic release date?
I have fulfilled every required step along the way. Counseling done. All payments and income reports on time. Questions put to me by trustee all answered in a timely fashion.

My release date is fast approaching. My trustee is, as ever, incommunicado. Every question I have raised has been completely and utterly ignored.  >:(

I guess I am supposed to get my answers from someone other than my trustee because there is no way I'm ever going to pry an answer out of this disingenuous person called a trustee  :(

The trustee is required to review your discharge one month before the automatic discharge date. They are required to advise you if 1) Your automatic discharge date has been extended (because of surplus income or 2) They will be opposing your discharge.

Thank you for your answer NotATrust-E!

One week today will be exactly ninth months from the date I filed. I take it that if I do not hear from my trustee before (or on) that date I will get my discharge. Do I understand you correctly? The trustee must notify me before this "anniversary" date. He can't come after me if I make it past this one week date?

I have been so sick worrying about what is going on in this vacuum I have been living in that I have lost almost 25lbs in the past month. I didn't worry this much when I had all my debt.

I can't guarantee that you will get your discharge in 9 months +1 day from the date you filed, but based on the information that you've given me, this seems to be the case. It is possible in rare instances that the trustee can 'come after you' through your local bankruptcy court, but this is unusual and time consuming for the trustee.

Again I thank you for answering, NotATrust-E!

I am trying to stay positive and thinking all is proceeding toward my successful discharge. I sincerely hope that this discharge appears quickly as I never, ever, want to have anything to do with the individual I have to call my trustee. Once I am completely free and clear from this whole process, I might consider posting my experience and perhaps the name of this trustee so that other people do not have to suffer the same horrible experience I have been having.
