Exactly when is one truly discharged?
« on: September 24, 2016, 10:36:17 AM »
Last week received the "official discharge papers" and an accompanying letter stating that if the creditors do not dispute the discharge within the next 30 days, then the discharge is complete.

update: Consulted my lawyer as my trustee is a useless jerk who lied to me several times when he wasn't ignoring me completely.  Thankfully I have been fully discharged -  many months ago. My lawyer got me a copy of the discharge papers. Which by the way are completely different than the papers the trustee just sent me. I still don't understand what the trustee sent me and I frankly don't care now that I have my genuine discharge paper from my lawyer. I thought the trustee was supposed to do that and mine seems to play by other rules. At least it is over. Finally.
